AFC West End continued their promising league form in 2012 with a 3-2 victory away at Red Lion Dunston. The game was the fourth between the two sides this season, AFC winning two previously and losing one via a penalty shootout. After keeping the same team line-up a week previously John Purdy was forced into shuffling his pack with Harry Rickels, Tom Cole, Sam McDonnell and James Smith all absent from the team that beat AFC Harpars. This gave opportunities to Lee Matsell, Mike O’Keeffe, Dan Arden and James Whittingham who all came into the side.
The game was a close affair but West End ran out 3-2 winners with a double from Lee Matsell and a goal from Dave Capps proving enough to take the points back to Lincoln. Three wins in three for AFC.
