Mixed Start To Pre-Season For Unfamiliar West End
AFC’s pre-season campaign began with a defeat at Sturton to a Queen in the West side already weeks into their preparations for the new season. West End gave debuts to four new players, all of whom later signed on for the new season. Grant Ward partnered Joe Harper in makeshift defence, Tom Cole and Daniel Arden came off the bench and impressed, whilst Harry Rickels showed a lot on his first start in the centre of midfield. AFC West End today revealed their brand new home kit, as modeled here by full-back Stephen Pearce. The kit was worn for the first time in the narrow friendly defeat to Queen in the West.
