A week before the season starts West End round off their pre-season schedule with an emphatic 7-0 victory over Division Four side Inter FC. A hat-trick from Sam McDonnell and two goals apiece from Dan Hill and Joe Harper helping to dismantle the side from the division above.

Arguably the toughest of West End’s pre-season run outs sees them face Division Three side Hartsholme Athletic at Bishop Grosseteste and achieve a favourable result thanks to two goals from Sam McDonnell.

West End’s second pre-season jaunt takes them to new Division Five side Potterhanworth. A comfortable performance from West End features the comedy strike force of Mike Beard and John Moore for the second half, with the former getting a debut goal for West End. Also on the score sheet were Joe Harper, Sam McDonnell, Dave Capps and Gav Sumner for his third pre-season goal.
