West End strolled to a comfortable victory on the Common after dominating Hykeham Plough. West End were without skipper Chris Dewey so Glen Wilson took the captain’s armband and Marcus Tester took Dewey’s free role in midfield. After a close affair in the away fixture, Hykeham were an unknown quantity especially after inconsistent recent results. De Wint’s 100% league record was ended in dramatic style by AFC West End. Before the game De Wint had conceded just 8 goals and had not come close to dropping a point all season. West End however refused to let the odds distract them and went into the game extremely positively.
